Bus Route Priority

Edin conducted a comprehensive assessment covering all of Auckland Transport's 'Frequent Service Network' bus routes, aiming to pinpoint necessary corridor upgrades for implementing whole-route bus priority. This extensive evaluation is part of our commitment to enhancing public transportation efficiency and reliability across the city.

Our team’s meticulous approach involved a detailed estimation of the benefits and costs associated with this ambitious programme, culminating in the preparation of a strategic Board paper. Edin’s input played a pivotal role in securing approval for the programme, laying the groundwork for its subsequent evolution into the Connected Communities initiative.

This project has set the stage for significant improvements in bus service efficiency, contributing to a more robust and reliable public transportation network in Auckland. By identifying key areas for corridor upgrades and bus priority implementation, Edin has helped pave the way for smoother, faster bus transit across the city, ultimately benefiting daily commuters and the community at large.
